Mulled Wine
(Vin Chaud)
Ingredients
Lemon 1/2
Orange 1
Ginger 3 slices
Cinnamon stick 1
Star anise 1 pc
Clove 3 pcs
Red wine 300 ml
Honey 3 tsp
Preparation
– Peel and slice ginger into thin slices
– Peel the orange and lemon zest into strips (remove the orange & lemon white pitch)
– Reserve the pulp
– Set aside
Method
– Pour all the spices into the pot, fry on low heat for 1 minute
– Twist all the citrus strips into the pot
– Pour the squeezed juice of 1 orange and 1/2 lemon into the pot and stir evenly
– Pour the red wine into the pot and turn to medium heat
– After stirring well and boiling, turn to low heat
– Add honey
– Cook for 15 – 20 minutes
– Pour into a cup and enjoy
