White Wine Poached Pear
(Poire Au Vin Blanc)
Ingredients
Pear 2
Lemon 1/2
Ginger 3 slices
Almond 10 pcs
Hazelnut 10 pcs
Cinnamon stick 1
White wine 250 ml
Water 100 ml
Rock sugar 1 g
Honey 3 tsp
Preparation
– Peel the pears and remove the core of the pear from the bottom
– Peel and slice ginger into thin slices
– Put the almonds and hazelnuts in the pan, and fry them over medium-low heat for 1 minutes
– Put them on a plate for later use
Method
– Put the cinnamon stick and ginger slices in the pot, fry on low heat for 30 seconds
– Pour the squeezed juice of 1/2 lemon into the pot and stir evenly
– Pour the white wine into the pot and turn to medium heat
– Add pears, rock sugar, stir well, and boil
– Cover the pot and cook on medium-low heat for 20 – 30 minutes, until the pears are soft
– Add honey
– Put the pears with almonds and hazelnuts on a plate and enjoy
